Postal carriers start collecting food today

MALONE — Beginning today until April 6, Malone postal carriers will collect non-perishable food items to donate to the hungry.
Among the items carriers will accept include canned meats, tuna fish, tomato sauce, tomato paste, chunky and creamed soups, peanut butter, jelly, noodles, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti, rice, dried milk, baby formula, canned fruit, canned vegetables, non-sugary cereal and assorted juices.
Items in glass containers will not be accepted.
Those wishing to make donations may leave items in their mailboxes or bring them to the Post Office on Main Street.

NCCS meeting includes architect's report

CHAMPLAIN — Northeastern Clinton Central School District will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Middle/High School Library.
Items on the agenda include a report from Collins & Scoville Architect, adoption of the 2007-2008 budget and tenure appointment. The board meeting is open to the public.
