PLATTSBURGH — Claude and Brenda Bouchard of Plattsburgh announce the engagement of their son, Adam, to Melanie Ferreira, the daughter of Carlos and Louise Ferreira of Westport, Mass.
Adam Bouchard is a 1998 graduate of Saranac High School and a 2002 graduate of Plattsburgh State. He holds a bachelor's degree in education and a master's degree in natural science. He is a laboratory manager for the auditory research laboratory at SUNY Plattsburgh.
Melanie Ferreira is a 1999 graduate of Bishop Connolly High School and a 2004 graduate of Bridgewater State College. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from BSC and is finishing her master's degree in clinical psychology at St. Michael's College in Vermont. She is a psychotherapist in Middlebury, Vt.
A July 2007 wedding is planned.
