PLATTSBURGH — Two Plattsburgh men are behind bars after they allegedly robbed an acquaintance at gunpoint Monday night to steal a small quantity of marijuana.
Eric Mireku and Joe Gbolo are each facing a felony charge of second-degree robbery.
According to Plattsburgh City Police, they entered a South Platt Street residence around 10:30 p.m. to buy marijuana from tenant Dominic Paul.
City Police said they pushed Paul and his house guest to the floor, waving their guns and shouting for money and the pot.
The pair then raced from the residence with a small quantity of marijuana and fled the area in a dark-colored SUV, police said.

Mireku, 23, was taken into police custody early Tuesday morning after Paul reported he had been robbed and identified his attacker, near whom he used to live.
According to City Court documents, Paul did not initially reveal the motive behind the attack, but police later discovered the alleged drug buy.
After appearing before City Court Judge Penelope Clute, Mireku was sent to Clinton County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond and is scheduled to reappear in court today.
City Police were continuing to investigate the incident Wednesday afternoon, when they charged Gbolo, 17, with being the second man involved in the attack.

He was arraigned before Clinton County Court Judge Patrick McGill and is now being held at the County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. He will return to court at a later date.
