TICONDEROGA — A Far Rockaway teenager had a new charge added to his previous drug charges this week.
Back on March 10, Angel G. Santana Jr., 18, was pulled over at a traffic stop on Route 9N in Ticonderoga. Police charged him with conspiracy to sell controlled substances, a felony.
After his arraignment, Ticonderoga Police Department officers allegedly found 45.1 grams of cocaine and 3.7 grams of crack cocaine hidden in his undergarments.
According to the Police Department, those quantities had been separated into smaller units for apparent future sale. Santana also allegedly was carrying $6,570 in cash.
An arrest warrant was issued for possession of the drugs. Santana was brought to Ticonderoga Town Court on the conspiracy charge Wednesday of this week and was arraigned on the new charge, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.
The original bail, set at $100,000, was continued, and Santana was sent back to Essex County Jail.

CONSTABLE — A Chateaugay man was injured Thursday afternoon in an accident on Coveytown Road.
State Police based in Malone said Jason R. Crippen, 33, of Plattsburgh was driving east on Coveytown Road about 12:15 p.m. when he turned right onto Constable-Burke town line road to turn around.
When he tried to re-enter Coveytown Road, he didn't stop at the stop sign and pulled out in front of a vehicle driven by Jamie M. Fallon, 26, of Chateaugay, troopers said.
Fallon could not stop and hit Crippen's vehicle, which was owned by Verizon.
Fallon sustained scrapes to his face.
Crippen was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way, State Police said.
