The ceremony was followed by a reception.The bride is the daughter of Kathleen Leary of 287 Turner Road, Morrisonville, and James Gilman Jr. The bridegroom is the son of Steve and Patty Newman of Thompson, Ohio.Jodi Shimmel of Deltona, Fla., was matron of honor. Erin Marshall of Carlisle, Pa., was maid of honor. Best man was Tim Major of Thompson, brother of the bridegroom.Bridesmaids were Cory Caranci of Madison, Ohio, the bridegroom's sister; and Angela French of Thompson, sister-in-law of the bridegroom. Flower girls were Taylair Garrand of Altona, the bride's cousin, and Hannah Dresser of Cadyville.Ushers were Casey Gilman of Essex Junction, Vt., the bride's brother; Pete Caranci of Madison, Ohio, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; and R.J. Gilman of Plattsburgh, the bride's brother.The bride was escorted by her father and her stepfather, Dave Dresser.Claude Pitman, grandfather of the bridegroom, gave the blessing.Miranda Major graduated from Saranac Central in 1996 and Clarkson University in 2000 with a B.S. in business administration. She is an information analyst at Clinton County Real Property.Jamie Major is a 1996 graduate of Harvey High School in Painesville, Ohio.The Majors reside in Morrisonville.
