TICONDEROGA — The Carillon Garden Club of Ticonderoga will present a special program with design specialist Valerie Cleary following the regular meeting April 19 at 12:15 p.m.
Cleary will present a new program entitled "Inspiration." She is a former elementary school teacher and is chair of the Judges Council of Vermont. Cleary has won top awards locally, nationally and internationally and has been a judge at the New England and Philadelphia Flower Shows.
The public is welcome to attend a light luncheon at 12:15 p.m. and the program, which follows, for $10. Reservations are due to Vivian Den Bleyker at 543-6801 by April 16.

Digital photography workshop slated

PLATTSBURGH — Learn how to take beautiful photographs with your digital camera. Master gardener volunteer and professional photographer Lorraine Chilson is holding a workshop featuring digital photography tips on Wednesday, April 18, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Cornell Cooperative Extension.
Chilson is a graduate of the Germain School of Photography and was employed as a commercial photographer for a major New York City studio.
Drawing on her more than 25 years in the business, Chilson will show you helpful tips on how to compose a photograph from family portraits to garden photography.
You will also learn how to use lighting to its best advantage and other tips. Bring your camera and learn how to take stunning photos of your garden just in time for spring.
