SCHENECTADY — The Clinton Community College men's baseball team managed just two runs in a doubleheader loss to Schenectady Community College Wednesday.The hosts took both ends — 9-1 in the opener and 11-1 in five innings in the second contest.Kris Chase took the setback in the opener. Matt Lavarnway led the Cougars' seven-hit attack with three hits and Brian Brothers singled in Clinton C.C.'s lone run in the fourth inning."We had a lot of opportunities in the first game," said Clinton C.C. head coach Tom Neale. "But, we weren't able to get the big hit and put the ball in play."Schenectady C.C. jumped on the Cougars for eight runs in the first inning of Game 2.Andrew Stanley started and took the loss for the Cougars, who managed three hits offensively.
