PLATTSBURGH — Thursday's sporadic snowfall contributed to several property damage and personal-injury accidents across the tri-county area.
State Police said the rough conditions sent vehicles sliding off the roadway and into oncoming traffic in Plattsburgh, Lyon Mountain, Ausable, Altona, Saranac, Ellenburg and Peru throughout the day Thursday.
There were a few reports of personal injuries from those accidents, including an overturned van near the Chazy Lake Road and a near head-on collision in AuSable, though details of the crashes were not available from State Police Thursday.
None of the injuries were believed to have been serious.

BURLINGTON — A Bombay man continues to improve after being shot in the face Monday night during a drunken argument.
Stephen Ingle, 59, had been rushed to Fletcher Allen Health Care in critical condition after the drunken incident Monday evening when an acquaintance allegedly shot him in the face with a rifle during a verbal dispute.
He was listed in good condition at the Burlington hospital Thursday afternoon.
Dan Smith was taken into police custody after the shooting and is being held at the Franklin County Jail on $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
