Plattsburgh State baseball games postponed

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh State men's baseball team, due to the weather, has postponed today's and Sunday's doubleheaders in State University of New York Athletic Conference play at Chip Cummings Field.
Today's scheduled twinbill against Oswego has been moved to Saturday, April 28, and Sunday's doubleheader with Cortland has been postponed to Thursday, April 26, starting at noon.
The Cardinals' scheduled doubleheader against St. Michael's College on April 28 has been postponed so that Plattsburgh can play Oswego that day. No make-up date for St. Michael's has been announced.

PSU softball games postponed

PLATTSBURGH — Today's Plattsburgh State softball doubleheader against Oneonta has been postponed due to weather.
The Cardinals will host New Paltz on April 25 and Oneonta on April 26. Game times have not been determined yet.
Plattsburgh State (12-6) has had four SUNY Athletic Conference match-ups postponed and is now scheduled to play 10 out of 11 days, starting Wednesday at SUNYIT.

Tennis banquet scheduled for April 28

PLATTSBURGH — The Annual Meeting and Banquet of the North Country Tennis Association will be held at The Barracks Golf Course at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 28.
The Banquet is open to all members and anyone interested in tennis. Reservation deadline is April 20. For more information, please call 563-3988.

B'town to begin youth sports registration

BEEKMANTOWN — The Town of Beekmantown will accept registration for its spring, summer and fall youth sports programs beginning April 16 through May 5. Beekmantown residents may register at the town hall during business hours and Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 5-7 p.m.
A special registration session will be held Saturday, May 5, from 10 a.m. until noon. Anyone registering after May 5 will be placed on a waiting list. Residents will have priority over waivered requests from other towns. All participants must register to play in the town they live in before seeking a release to play elsewhere.

Anyone interested in coaching or becoming a paid official should call Sanford Coakley, at 561-1149 or the town office, at 563-4650.

NCYH schedules pig roast for June

ROUSES POINT — The North Country Youth Hockey Organization will hold its third annual pig roast fundraiser at the Naked Turtle on Saturday, June 9 at 5 p.m.. The $20 fee includes a pig roast dinner with all the trimmings, dessert, beverage, volleyball and quoits as well as a donation to NCYH. There will be a raffle and prizes.
All are welcome, especially hockey alumni. For more information, call 493-7260.
