DUANE — Two Franklin County men were arrested late Friday afternoon as a result of a vehicle and traffic stop at which police seized approximately 15 pounds of marijuana.
According to a Malone-based State Police news release, the driver of the vehicle, Michael J. Benware, 37, of Malone, and his passenger, Joshua E. Spaulding, 22, of Constable, were both charged with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana.
Both were arraigned in the Town of Duane Court and sent to the Franklin County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
