PSU hockey banquet set for Saturday

PLATTSBURGH — Plattsburgh State will hold a banquet Saturday to honor the women's hockey team, which claimed the Division III national championship last month.
The community-wide dinner, hosted by President John Ettling and his wife, Lisa Lewis, will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Angell College Center.
The cost for the reception and dinner is $25 per person, $10 for children ages 3-12 and free to children under three. Tickets will be sold at the door or can be purchased in advance at the Information Desk at Angell College Center.
Individuals, corporations and businesses interested in assisting the College in recognizing the athletes and coach Kevin Houle may sponsor this event by making a tax-deductible, charitable gift of $250 to the Plattsburgh College Foundation. Sponsorship checks made payable to the Foundation may be mailed to 101 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, NY 12901. Sponsorship gifts may also be made online at www.plattsburgh.edu/makeagift by indicating "Women's Ice Hockey Championship" in the memo field under additional information.


Little League reschedules sign-up for tonight

PLATTSBURGH — The final registration of the season for Plattsburgh Little League will be held tonight from 6-7:30 p.m. at Stafford Middle School.
Athletes must turn seven by April 30 and must not be 13 as of the same date. For more information, contact Jake Sherman, at 566-0140.


Peru adult volleyball resumes Wednesday

PERU — The Peru Adult Coed Volleyball League will resume play Wednesday, at 7:30 p.m. New players welcome. The remaining play dates for April are: 18, 23, 25 and 30.

ADK announces events this week

PLATTSBURGH — ADK will host the following activities this week. All activities are open to the public.
Wednesday- Walk about Town. Meet at 3 p.m. on the steps of City Hall for a leisurely hour-long walk around a Plattsburgh neighborhood. Leashed dogs are welcome.
Thursday- Hike the Ausable Club Lake Road and trails to enjoy the scenic waterfalls on the East Branch of the Ausable River. Moderate. Leader: Lorri Wetzel, 563-0477.
Saturday- Silver Lake Mt. and Silver Lake Bog. Easy to moderate. Leader: Alix Heuston, 561-7660.


CYH meeting Thursday

CHAZY — Chazy Youth Hockey will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Scotts' Rink.
