Friendship Luncheon features Maxson

TICONDEROGA — The Church Women United's Friendship Luncheon program in Ticonderoga will be held at 10:30 a.m. April 27 at the First United Methodist Church on Wicker Street.
The featured speaker will be Marion Maxson, a poet, musician, grandmother and church woman. The luncheon will be catered by the Gourmet Gal.
Maxson now lives in Geneseo, after many years spent in Michigan and Pennsylvania. She has authored three collections of poetry, "These Are A Few of My Favorite Things," "Looking Twice" and "War and Peace." She is an accomplished musician and has taught many children to play the piano.
Reservations for the luncheon must be made by Sunday, April 22 by calling Mary at 585-4494 or Cathie at 585-7015. The cost is $10. All in the community are invited.
