NCCC drops twinbill to Adirondack CC PDF Print E-mail

QUEENSBURY— The North Country Women's softball team dropped a doubleheader to Adirondack Community College, 10-2, 10-2, Friday afternoon.
Brittany Moriarty picked up the win in the first game, and Beth Ellis pitched a complete game for the second.
Leading the Timberwolves was Jen Caffarel with five hits over the two games, and Ashleigh Padasak with three.
Judi Durkin pitched a complete game in the opener for NCCC, scattering six hits for six earned runs. Durkin came on in relief of Erika Bukovinsky after an inning and a third in the nightcap.
Durkin had an impressive day at the plate going 4-6 on the day with one RBI and scoring three of the four runs for the Saints. Aren Laundree and Tiffany Briggs also drove in runs for North Country.
The Saints travel to Hudson Valley Community College today.
