The Very Old Archives Section uses scanned images of old Press-Republican newspaper pages and predecessors of the Press-Republican — the Plattsburgh Sentinel and the Plattsburgh Republican. These images and the site that hosts them are part of the Northern New York Library Network.

 

The images are PDF files and require that you have a copy of the free Adobe Reader installed on your computer. This reader can be downloaded from the Northern New York Library Network page as well as from many other sites on the Internet including the Adobe site (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html).
