Rouses Point — Yvonne B. LaBonte, 96, formerly of Rouses Point, died Thursday Jan. 6, 2000 at Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone. She was residing at Valehaven Home for Adults in Malone.
She was born on July 30, 1903, in St. Valentine, Quebec, the daughter of Modese and Matilda (O'Dette) Langevin.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Carl Dale of Malone; three sons and daughters-in-law, Armond and Marylin LaBonte of Benton, Pa., Alfred and Lena LaBonte of Rouses Point, Hector and Violet LaBonte of Rouses Point; also surviving are 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Wilfred, on Oct. 29, 1968, four sons; Roland, Wilfred, Jr. (Fritz), Arthur, and Maurice (Spike); and a daughter, Anna; she was also predeceased by her brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was the last survivor of her generation.
Calling hours will be Saturday Jan. 8, 2000 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Clark Funeral Home in Rouses Point. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Church in Rouses Point at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery in the Spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association.
