WEST CHAZY — Alfred L. Williamson, 71, of the Slosson Road died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at the CVPH Medical Center.
He was born in Los Angeles, Calif. on April 7, 1929, the son of Stanley and Bessie (Lee) Williamson.
Mr. Williamson married the former Mary Ann Wasson in 1962 at the United Congregational in Willsboro.
He was a Korean War veteran and served in the Vermont Air National Guard from 1964 until 1989.
Mr. Williamson was a 1972 graduate of Plattsburgh State University and was a chemist at Wyeth Ayrest Laboratories in Rouses Point for over 30 years, retiring in 1997.
Survivors include his wife Mary Ann; two sons, Matthew Williamson and his wife Samantha of Plattsburgh, and Timothy Williamson of Burlington, Vt.; his mother, Bessie Williamson of Salt Lake City; one brother, Douglas Williamson of Salt Lake City; a granddaughter, Whitney M. Williamson of Plattsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
A son, Michael Williamson, died in 1991.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Chazy Presbyterian Church.
Burial will be in Ingraham Cemetery.
Memorial gifts, in his memory, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
