Owego — Alyce E. Toft, 42, of Owego and formerly of Plattsburgh, died on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, as a result of an automobile accident.
Alyce was born on Apr. 17, 1958, in Plattsburgh. She graduated from Beekmantown High School and Schenectady County Community College.
Before moving to Owego, she worked for Marriott Corporation in Texas and New Hampshire. She was the cook/manager for the Owego School District and was currently employed as the food service manager for the Candor School District. Alyce is a member of St. Patrick's Church of Owego.
She is predeceased by her father, Joseph Perry and her brother, James Perry.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Toft, of Owego; two sons, Jeremy and Joseph Toft, both of Owego; a grandson, Corbyn; her mother, Dorothy Perry, formerly of Plattsburgh; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda Barber-Wattie and John Wattie of Plattsburgh and Susan and Paul Taliga of Hazelton, Pa.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Estey & Munroe Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Owego, N.Y. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Owego, with the Rev. William Moorby officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
