KEENE — Winona W. Carey, 83, of Church Street in Keene, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
She was born in Keene, the daughter of Peter and Grace (Heald) Wells.
Mrs. Carey was tax collector for 26 years, serving from 1972 to 1997 and for several years she also was school tax collector. She was a bus driver for several years for the Senior Citizens and also treasurer for the Senior Citizens Club.
