Jacksonville, Vt. — Andre H. Duhaime, 54, a resident of Sprague Brook Road in Jacksonville, Vt., died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at his home following a period of declining health.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 5,1946, the son of the late Henry A. Duhaime and Theresa (Roy) Duhaime Giguere who survives.
Being from a military family he received his education in many different schools throughout the country. He graduated from the Vermont Police Academy and for 10 years had worked for the Banon Police Department retiring as Sargent following 10 years with the force. In the mid 1970's he relocated to southern Vermont and made his home in Jacksonville. He then began working at G.S. Precision in Wilmington, Vt., as a machinist, when the Wilmington plant closed he transferred to the Brattleboro facility where he worked until the fall of 2000, retiring due to his Ill health. Mr. Duhaime was a 20 year member of the Whitingham Fire Department and a 15 year member of the Whitingham Ambulance Service.
He is survived by his mother, Theresa Giguere of Nashville, Tenn.; a son, Marc-Andre Duhaime Whitingham, Vt.; a daughter, Carrie-Marie Duhaime of Whitingham; three brothers and sister-in-law, Patrick and his wife Punki Duhaime of Plattsburgh, Robert Duhaime and Paul Duhaime both of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister and brother-in-law Diane and Bob Murray of Brattleboro, Vt.; an aunt; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his first wife Shirley (Liberty) Duhaime who died in 1972 and a son Christopher Duhaime who died March 2,1980.
The Liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 a.m. from Our Lady of Fatima Church in Wilmington, Vt. A prayer service will preceed the funeral mass from the Covey & Allen Funeral Home at 10:30am. Private burial services will take place in the St. Augustine Cemetery in Peru.
The calling hours were at the Covey & Allen Funeral Home on Tuesday. The Vigil service was held Tuesday evening.

Martha Ann (Galumboski) Pearson
Ticonderoga — Martha Ann (Galumboski) Pearson, 49, of Morehouse Drive, passed away Monday, May 28, 2001, at the Glens Falls Hospital.
She was born In Manchester, Conn. on March 22, 1952, the daughter of the late Anthony and Margaret (Sarherek) Galumboski.
Mrs. Pearson has been a resident of Ticonderoga since 1972. She was employed by the Moses-Ludington Hospital of Ticonderoga as an x-ray technician for many years. She was also employed as a receptionist at the Trout House Village Resort and most recently at Silver Say Association.
She was a member of the Hague Baptist Church, The Baptist Women's Society and the Hope Group of Hague. She was a 4-H Leader, a Girl Scout Leader in Crown Point and Ticonderoga and was the area Chairperson for the Girl Scouts.
In additon to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, David Golumboski.
Survivors include her husband, Donald R. Pearson; two daughters, Gretchen L. Benson of Jamestown and Carrie A. Pearson of Ticonderoga; and one sister, Mary Krasiejko of Cooks, Mich.; She Is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life service will take place Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Hague Baptist Church. The Rev. Donald Buchanan, pastor, will officiate.
The family suggests, In lieu of flowers, to feed someone that is hungry or to make a child smile.
