KEESEVILLE — Adelaide O. Lareau, 94, of Route 9, Keeseville, died Thursday, June 21, 2001, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
She was born in Keeseville, October 6, 1906, the daughter of Alfred and Julienne (Shausse) Lareau.
Adelaide worked among patients suffering from tuberculosis in Saranac Lake for over 20 years. She also cared for her mother and father, aunt, Dora Lareau, and sister, Ruth LaValley.
She was a member of the Keeseville VFW Post 1505 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards.
Survivors include two brothers, Leonard Lareau and Mahlon Lareau, both of Keeseville; two sisters, Florence Booth of Troy and Virginia Garcia of Keeseville; four very special nieces, Julie, Karen, Marie, and Aubrey; and several other nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; one sister, Ruth LaValley; and four brothers, John, Dennis, Felix, and Francis Lareau.
Calling hours will be held Friday, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Keeseville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. John
