Pensacola, FLA. — William "Bill" Brennan, 53, died at his residence in Pensacola, Fla., after a long illness. His loving daughters and granddaughter were at his side.
Bill was born in Plattsburgh on Aug. 22, 1947, the son of Leonard and Laura (Roberts) Brennan.
He graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1966, served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the 25th Infantry Division from 1967-1969, receiving a Purple Heart.
On returning from the service, Mr. Brennan worked for Rollins Broadcasting WPTZ Channel 5 for a brief period and was a private contractor for many years in Florida and North Carolina.
Bill was predeceased by his father, Leonard Brennan; a nephew, Christopher; and a great-nephew, Hunter.
William Brennan is survived by his mother, Laura Brennan of Plattsburgh; his daughters, Samantha Brennan of Boone, N.C., and Vicki Sue Brennan of Pensacola, Fla.; his granddaughter, Devany Brennan of Pensacola, Fla.; the mother of his children, Sue (McCloud) Brennan of Florida, formerly of Vermont; six brothers and four sisters-in-law, Patrick and Nancy Brennan of Schuyler Falls, James and JoAnn Brennan of Wichita Falls, Texas, Thomas and Patricia Brennan of South Hero, Vt., John and Dorothy Brennan of Plattsburgh, Aloysisus "Dan" Brennan of Plattsburgh, Michael Brennan of Plattsburgh; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Shirley and John Bovender of Shalimar, Fla., Donna "Tina" and Donald "Joe" Gebo of North Walpole, N.H., Dorothy and Tim Horn of Tucson, Ariz., Connie St. Dennis of Plattsburgh, and 12 nieces and 16 nephews.
William "Bill" Brennan was cremated in Pensacola, Fla., on July 26, 2001. A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Victory in Plattsburgh on Monday, July 30, 2001, at 10:30 a.m.
