PLATTSBURGH — William D. Bruso, 58, of Clinton County Nursing Home and formerly of Twin Circle, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, N.Y.
He was born in Plattsburgh on Oct. 30, 1942, the son of Truman and Marion (Thompson) Bruso.
William was a graduate of Plattsburgh High School in 1962 He married the former Mary Lou Finley on April 5, 1969, in Ogdensburg. William worked for Altamont Dairy Bar on South Catherine Street for several years. Then he went to work at Plattsburgh State in supplies for many years. William retired due to illness in 1985, from CVPH Medical Center after 17 years as a Pharmacy Technician.
He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Plattsburgh and was a former member of the Barber Shoppers.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou of Plattsburgh; one son, John Bruso of Plattsburgh; two daughters, Darlene Bleigh and her husband, Matthew of Edwards AFB, Calif., April Coldsmith and her husband, Joe of Shippensburg, Pa.; his father, Truman Bruso of Plattsburgh; three sisters, da Bertrand and her husband, Roderick of Champlain, Marquerite Grabezewski and her husband, Bernard of Plattsburgh and Linda Ackey of Mazungie, Pa.; 5 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Robert A. Bruso.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2001, at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Plattsburgh. Entombment will follow in Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens in Plattsburgh.
Donations may be made to the Kidney dialysis Unit at CVPH Medical Center.
