Plattsburgh — Alvina T. Bill, 88, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2002, at Evergreen Valley Nursing Home in Plattsburgh.
She was born in Morrisonville on May 4, 1913, the daughter of Aurelia Terry and Eugene LaRocque.
Alvina formerly lived in Dannemora and Denver, Colo.
She was a former member of the Home Bureau, the Senior Citizens, and the Dannemora Drop In Center.
She is survived by three daughters, Beverly Quante of Denver, Colo., Shirley Reyell of Schuyler Falls and Carolyn Tompkins and her husband, Charlie of Plattsburgh; one son, Thomas Sweeney and his wife, Dorie of Morrisonville; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Curtis L. Bill; a daughter, Barbara Cumm; a great-grandchild; four sisters, Priscilla LaRocque, Rosella Lord, Adele Bouyea and May Cook; two brothers, Burton LaRocque and Elwood LaRocque; and three sons-in-law, Joe Cumm, Albert Reyell and John Quante.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday from St. Joseph
