Rouses Point — Andrew I. Garrant, 80, passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center.
He was born in Plattsburgh on July 29, 1921, the son of Arthur and Sadie (Ferguson) Garrant.
Andrew was a veteran of World War II, serving from 1942 through 1945. He was awarded the Bronze Star.
He was employed at Ayerst Laboratories in Rouses Point for 46 years.
Andy was awarded a certificate of appreciation for numerous years of outstanding and dedicated service to the Rouses Point Fire Department. Memberships include, American Legion, 94th Infantry Division, Association and past member of the Plattsburgh Lodge of Elks.
He was predeceased by a brother, Bud Garrant; and a sister, Madeline Bernard.
He is survived by his wife, Tina (Jubert) Garrant; son, Jeffrey; a sister, Sally Garrant of Plattsburgh; a close family friend, Dean Pratt; as well as many other relatives and close friends.
