PLATTSBURGH — Allan B. Wilson, 68, of Maryland Road and formerly of Mooers, died Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at the CVPH Medical Center.
He was born in Plattsburgh on Nov. 4, 1933, the son of Walter and Isabelle (Fitch) Wilson.
Allan married Mary Weaver July 1, 1989, at the United Methodist Church in Brownville.
Mr. Wilson is a member of the United Methodist Church of Plattsburgh and former member of the Mooers Volunteer Fire Department.
Allan was a installer of floor covering for many years for area businesses. He also was a Vocational Instructor for the New York State Department of Corrections.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Weaver of Plattsburgh; one daughter, Donna J. Smith of Champlain; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Mark and Laurie Wilson of Clarksville, N.Y., Robert and Ellie Wilson of LaFargeville, N.Y., Peter and Sheryl Wilson of LaFargeville, N.Y., and Timothy Wilson of LaFargeville, N.Y.; three stepchildren, Thomas and Debra Manos of Watertown, N.Y., Diane and Christopher Leone of Brownville, N.Y., and Ronald and Marsha Manos of Cadiz, Ky.; one sister, Helen Seller of Plattsburgh; 15 grandchildren; and one great - grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., with the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. the United Methodist Church of Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Mooers.
Memorial donations may be made to the United Methodist Church of Plattsburgh Memorial Fund.
