MOOERS — Alma Veivia, 77, of Mooers, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2002, at the Cedar Hedge Nursing Home in Rouses Point.
She was born Nov. 12, 1924, in Mooers, the daughter of Zepher and Sarah (Barcomb) Rabideau.
She worked as the post office clerk in the Mooers Post Office for 36 years. Alma was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Mooers.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Francis Veivia who passed away in 1981; and three brothers, Roger Rabideau, Giles Rabideau and Vernon Rabideau.
She leaves three sisters-in-law, Delores Smith of Florida, Theresa Rabideau of Mooers and Mr. And Mrs. Andrew Mournet of Mooers; several nieces and nephews; and two god children, Giles Rabideau and Karen Trombley.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home in Champlain. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph
