Lacolle, Quebec — Adele Dion, 89, of Notre Dame Mont Carmel, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Lacolle, Quebec, on March 1, 1913, the daughter of Isidore and Emma (Boudreau) Lapalme. She married Oscar Dion on Dec. 26, 1931, at Notre Dame du Mont Carmel Catholic Church.
Survivors include one brother, Lionel Lapalme of St-Johns, Quebec; eight daughters, Jeannine Lefebvre and Louise Cronkrite of Rouses Point, Rejeanne Lefebvre of Coopersville, Helen Boucher of St-Paul-iles- aux-noix, Yvette Belair of Lacolle, Denise Dion, Lucette Dion and Gisele Cartier of St-Valentin; five sons, George of St-Paul, Yvon, Omer, Leo and Robert Dion of Lacolle; 41 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and three great-great- grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Jean-Yves Dion; one brother, Isidore Jr. Lapalme; and two sisters, Florence Lapalme and Flore Vernier.
