St. Albans, Vt — Alexandra Alice Roth, 100, of St. Albans, Vt., and former long time resident of Rouses Point, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2003, at the Holiday House Nursing Home in St. Albans, with her family by her side.
She was born on Sept. 27, 1902, in New London, Conn., daughter of the late Roch and Mary (Deptula) Baclawski. She received her education from the University of Connecticut and was a school teacher in both Connecticut and New York State. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens Council in the Champlain and Rouses Point area.
She was married to Leonard Roth Jr., on Aug. 21, 1926 in Clinton, Conn. He predeceased her in 1978 after more than 50 years of marriage.
She is survived by a son, Leonard Roth and his wife, Harriet of Rouses Point and Perico Island, Fla.; a daughter, Valerie Roth, of Rouses Point; five grandchildren, Dr. Kyle Roth and his wife, Leslie of Raleigh, N.C., Karen and her husband, Dr. James Lamar of Rochester, N.Y., Kurt Rugenius and his wife, Theresa of Eric, Pa., Kristen Cruz and her husband, Louis of Rouses Point and Kim Cave and her husband, Rob of Atlanta, Ga. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and two nieces.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church in Rouses Point on Monday, May 19, 2003, at 10 a.m. Internment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery in Rouses Point.
