West Chazy — Mr. Albert H. LaPine, 76, of the Slosson Road, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 13, 2003, at his home.
He was born in Champlain, N.Y., on Aug. 23, 1926, the son of Arthur and Malvina (Gelineault) LaPine. Albert was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy Seabees. He retired from Harris Bindery, formerly Sheridan Iron Works, in Champlain in 1971. Albert enjoyed berry picking, hunting, fishing and splitting firewood.
Albert was predeceased by his father, Arthur LaPine.
He is survived by his wife, Frances (Hebert) LaPine of West Chazy; a son, Steven LaPine and his wife Bonnie of Essex Junction, Vt.; his mother, Melvina LaPine of Latham, N.Y.; a sister, Irene Wondisford of Latham, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Craig, Wendy and Carrie; one great-grandson, Logan; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 11 to 1 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Carlton Wu, retired pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Champlain and Rouses Point, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Whispering Maples Mausoleum on the Tom Miller Road.
