Mooers Forks — Amy M. Barbeau, 22, of Mooers Forks, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
She was born in Plattsburgh on June 3, 1981, the daughter of Richard M. and Debra L. (LaValley) Barbeau.
She was employed at the Robert Lamberton farm in Mooers Forks for several years. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. She also enjoyed spending time with children and animals.
She is survived by her father, Richard Barbeau and a friend Amy Rose of Mooers Forks; her mother, Debra Barbeau of Altona; her brother, Jason Barbeau and his companion Ann LaValley of Mooers Forks; her paternal grandfather, Marcel Barbeau of South Daytona Beach, Fla.; her maternal grandmother, Marie LaValley of Mooers Forks; a special friend, Tammy Garlock of Altona; and several cousins.
Her grandmother, Janet Barbeau; her grandfather, Herman LaValley; and an uncle, Roderick LaValley died before her.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Mooers. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday from St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks. Interment will be in Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Ellenburg Depot.
