PLATTSBURGH — Alicia M. Barcomb, 66, of Goodspeed Road, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
She was born on July 11, 1937, in Ellenburg Depot, N.Y., the daughter of Lynn H. and Gertrude (Ash) Moore.
Alicia graduated from Ellenburg High School in 1955.
Alicia married Leeward Barcomb on Nov. 29, 1958. Leeward predeceased her on Dec. 8, 1988.
She worked at the CVPH Medical Center from April of 1956 until June of 1997. Alicia worked in nutritional services for 41 years, retiring as chief cook.
She attended Ellenburg Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include, two daughters and one son-in-law, Linda Barcomb-Trim, and her husband Timothy of Plattsburgh and Melody Moore of Ellenburg Depot; her mother, Gertrude Moore of Ellenburg Depot; one brother and sister-in-law, Larry Moore and his wife Shirley of Ellenburg Depot; one sister and brother-in-law, Gwendolyn Baker and her husband, Douglas of Ellenburg Depot; two grandsons, Matthew Barcomb and his companion Brandy Mott of Peru and Jason Moore and his companion Shannon Bodette of Ellenburg Depot; two great-grandchildren, Cody Barcomb and Nicole Daniels; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Lynn; and one brother, Gary Moore.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Ellenburg Wesleyan Church. Burial will take place in the spring in St. Augustine
