PLATTSBURGH — Alvin C. Ducatte, 69, of Standish Street, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center.
He was born in Plattsburgh on June 20, 1934, the son of George and Bertha (Reil) Ducatte.
Mr. Ducatte was a member of St. Peter's Church. He enjoyed playing his guitar, football games at Bailey Avenue and time spent with his family.
He was employed by the City of Plattsburgh for nine years with the Parks and Recreation Department and before by Vlean Engineers.
Survivors include his companion of 30 years, Caroline Kelley; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Alvin Ducatte of Orlando, Fla., and George and Claire Ducatte of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Randy Vann of Morrisonville and Karen and Brian Blanchard of Plattsburgh; one brother, Larry Ducatte of Plattsburgh; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Maidge and Donald Hewson of Plattsburgh, Brenda and James Stockdale of Plattsburgh and Linda Justice of Plattsburgh; and four grandchildren, Jennelle Vann, Joshua Vann, Nicole Vann and Michael Ducatte.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Gloria Collins and Aidrieth Dailey.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter
