Watervliet, N.Y. — Mr. William H. Quick Jr., 41, formerly of Plattsburgh, and most recently of Watervliet, N.Y., passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at the Albany Medical Center Hospital in Albany, N.Y.
He was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on Sept. 26, 1962, the son of William H. and Janet R. (Rabideau) Quick Sr.
William was a graduate of Plattsburgh High School and at the time of his death he was project foreman for Moisture Barriers Roofing and Shoot Metal Corporation in Altamont, N.Y.
He enjoyed working with his hands especially woodworking, cooking for many area restaurants in Plattsburgh and he enjoyed being out of doors.
William was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Rita Rabideau; his paternal grandparents, Clarence and Willie Belle Quick; an uncle who was his best friend, Gary Rabideau.
He is survived by his parents, William and Janet Quick Sr. of Plattsburgh; his daughters, Sarah and Kaitlyn; two sisters, Tammy LaRose and her husband Louis and their daughters Marlene and MaryBeth of Westport, N.Y., and Jody Johns and her husband Richard and their sons Richard and Jeremy of Clemmons, N.C.; his maternal grandfather, Richard Rabideau Sr. of Morrisonville; his wife, Mary Agnes Quick of Panama City Beach, Fla.; a special friend, Susan Barber of Watervliet, N.Y.; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive him.
Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at noon from St. Peter
