PLATTSBURGH — Alan Hadley Booth, age 95, died at CVPH Medical Center on Tuesday, April 6, 2004. He had been living at home until he was admitted to the hospital the previous day.
Alan was born in Plattsburgh on Jan. 6, 1909, son of Harry and Wilholmina Booth.
He graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1927 and from Williams College in 1931. He attended Columbia University Graduate School, then returned to Plattsburgh in 1934 to join his father at Booth Insurance Agency.
He married Dorothy Bourne in July 1942 on Cape Cod. Alan enlisted in the military the day after Pearl Harbor and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the South Pacific. He was discharged in November of 1945 and returned to Plattsburgh with his wife and son, Alan.
Alan was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church. His civic contributions included long-time service to the Clinton-Essex Counties United Way. In the 1950
