ELLENBURG CENTER — Alice F. Kaufman, 78, wife of the late James E. Kaufman, formerly of Cheektowaga, N.Y., died Tuesday, May 25, 2004, in the presence of family in Akron, Ohio.
She was born Sept. 21, 1925, in Buffalo, the daughter of the late John and Florence (Borowiak) Mack.
Mrs. Kaufman had retired from Buffalo Envelope and moved to Ellenburg Center in 1983 with husband James. She recently relocated to Akron, Ohio.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas and Sally Kaufman of East Aurora, N.Y.; Dennis Kaufman and partner Denise Stitzinger of Keeseville, N.Y.; a daughter, Mrs. Don (Deborah) Ratliff of Akron, Ohio; sister, Dolores Lazarski of Depew, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, Janine, Lynn, Paul, Kim, Kristin, Kate and Mitchell; three great-grand-children, Sarina, Kelsey and Samantha. Also Courtney and Jennifer Stitzinger; and special four legged friends Daisy and Bear.
Cremation has taken place in Akron, Ohio. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Drown Funeral Home in Ellenburg Depot, N.Y., with a memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday. at St. Edmund
