Altona — Albert F. Bert LaGoy, 93, of Alder Bend Road, Ellenburg Depot, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
He was born in Ellenburg Depot on May 5, 1911, the son of Henry and Heloise (LaFrennier) LaGoy Peryea.
He was a farmer, woodsman, hunter and fisherman for many years.
He is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Leward LaGoy and Elizabeth and Richard and Rose LaGoy, both of Vernon, N.Y., Fred and Lucy LaGoy of Cadyville; a sister, Amelia E. Seguin Wilczak of Canandaigua, N.Y.; a daughter-in-law, Helen McNeil; and several nieces and nephews.
His wife, Luva Seguin LaGoy, died Dec. 9, 1997; his parents; a son, Ronald LaGoy; and two brothers, William and Francis; and a sister, Lucille Coryea, also died earlier.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Ellenburg Depot. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Friday from Holy Angels Church in Altona. Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the Altona Rescue Squad or charity of choice.
