Chateaugay — Alexander Al Landry, 73, of White Street, Chateaugay, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone, N.Y.
Born in Malone, N.Y., on Nov. 18, 1931, he was the son of George and Dora (Harvey) Landry.
He was married to Patricia Mellon on Sept. 20, 1952, in St. Patrick's Church, Chateaugay.
Mr. Landry is survived by his wife of 52 years; three sons; and two daughters-in-law, William and Maria Landry of Canandaigua, Kelly Landry and companion Margaret Maracle of Rochester and Scott and Penny Landry of Mitchell, Ind.; six grandchildren, Jason, Lindsey, Ashley, Linda, Shawn and Regina; five great-grandchildren, Leah, Brandie, Geoff, Madeline and Collin; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Glenda Landry of Malone, Larry and Karen Landry of California, Wayne and Helen Landry of Malone and Alfred and Colleen Landry of Malone; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Helen and Robert Tracy of Malone and Mary Landry of Malone.
He was predeceased by his parents; and three brothers, Frank, Billy and Kenny Landry.
Mr. Landry served in the U.S. Army from May 1952 to February 1954 and was honorably discharged. He was employed at General Motors in Massena as a forklift operator until his retirement in 1987. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Knights of Columbus Third Degree and served as past Grand Knight.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be on Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Chateaugay, with Rev. John Demo officiating.
