ROME, N.Y. " Anita J. Woznicki, 67, of Oakwood Street, Rome, N.Y., died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at home after a long illness.
Born on June 22, 1938, she was the daughter of Aurelio and Josephine Rossi Martinez.
She was educated in Rome schools and was married to Franklin A. Woznicki Jr. on April 5, 1958.
Anita was of the Catholic faith, was a member of Rome Post 2246 Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and was an avid Bingo player.
Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Patrick (Deborah) Dunn of Rome, Juanita Woznicki (Karen DuFour) of Champlain, N.Y., and Sue Ann Carter of Norwood, N.Y.; one son, Franklin A. Woznicki III of Rome; two sisters, Rose Ortolano and Mary (John) Semo; two brothers, Joseph (Ramona) Martinez and Richard (Linda) Martinez; and grandchildren, Franklin Baile, Michael Clute Jr. and her special granddaughter, Emily.
She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Patrick Dunn.
Anita's family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Potluri and Cindy of Hospice for their kindness and compassion.
Funeral services will be held in St. Peter's Church in Rome, N.Y., Friday at 10 a.m. where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Rome, N.Y. Friends may call at the Strong and Burns Funeral Home, 401 N. George St., Rome, N.Y., on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
