Plattsburgh — Alice T. Rhodes, 75, of Gary Way, Plattsburgh, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
She was born in New York City, July 21, 1929, the daughter of Alphonse and Josephine (Black) Robinson.
Alice married Walter A. Rhodes, Nov. 21, 1953, at St. Bridgets Church on Long Island. He predeceased her Oct. 23, 1997.
She was employed for several years at Clinton Community College as the Assistant to the Academic Dean. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kevin and Debra Rhodes of Massachusetts and Robert Rhodes of Peru; three grandchildren, Thomas, Colleen and Devin all of Massachusetts; four brothers, Al, Bill, Phil and Gerry Robinson; one sister, Joann Sarro; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by her parents; and one brother, John.
Calling hours will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church in Peru with Rev. Vicente Jazmines, pastor, celebrating. Burial will be in the spring in the parish cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
