CROWN POINT — Willis A. Ross, 75, of Crown Point, passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2005 in the arms of his son, Randy, at the family homestead on Hogback Road.
Willis was born April 29, 1930 in Crown Point, the son of the late Albert Ross and Eva Ross Lindeman.
Willis retired from International Paper in Ticonderoga after 40 years of service.
He was a veteran of the Korean War where he received a Purple Heart during his tour of duty.
On June 28, 1952, he married Patricia Sheehan. Together they raised three children.
Survivors include his wife, Patty, one daughter, Cindy Ross Collins and husband, Michel, of Union, Maine; one son, Randy and wife Elizabeth of Ballston Lake, and one daughter, Mindy Ross Bremer and husband, John, of Newark.
Grandchildren are Shawn Collins, Kristi Collins, Nicole Ross, Dustin Ross, Loren Ross, Kayleigh Bremer, Kristin Bremer and Ashley Bremer; two great-grandchildren, Mayme Stone and Michael Ross; four brothers, Arnold Ross, Carl Ross, Robert Ross and Joseph Ross; three sisters, Gloria Tubbs, Donna Spaulding and Shirley Beach and several nieces and nephews.
Willis was predeceased by five brothers: Wesley, Ernest, Donald, Harold and Richard, and one sister, Flora Thatcher.
A mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Crown Point on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Crown Point Ambulance Squad, Main Street, Crown Point.
