PLATTSBURGH — Agnes Mary Goddeau, 96, formerly of Bucks Corners Road, Saranac, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at the Clinton County Nursing Home.
She was born in Cadyville on July 18, 1909, the daughter of George and Minnie (Rock) Rabideau.
She married Emmette Goddeau on Nov. 25, 1940, in St. James Church in Cadyville. Mr. Goddeau died in 1984.
Together, she and Mr. Goddeau owned and operated Goddeau's Michigans on Bucks Corners Road. Later they ran Goddeau's Gun Shop at that same location.
Mrs. Goddeau was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora.
Survivors include three nieces, Marion and John Christon of Cadyville, Nancy Goddeau of Saranac, and Ester and Donald Favro of Plattsburgh; and five nephews, Clifton and June St. Louis of Cadyville, George and Coleen Rabideau of Plattsburgh, Robert and Lucy Goddeau of Rouses Point, Kevin and Brenda Goddeau of Plattsburgh, and Marvin Goddeau of Morrisonville. She is predeceased by one brother, Louis Rabideau; two sisters, Vina Rock and Ella St. Louis; one niece, Marie Lavarnway; and two nephews, Lawrence Goddeau and Robert Rabideau.
Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the R.W. Walker Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Church.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
