TICONDEROGA — Alfred D. Rovelli Sr., 79, of Lord Howe Street, and most recently of the Inter-Lakes Nursing Home of Ticonderoga, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2006, at the Moses-Ludington Hospital of Ticonderoga.
Born in Whitehall, Dec. 18, 1926, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Pauline (DiNucci) Rovelli.
Mr. Rovelli has been a resident of Ticonderoga since 1950, when he moved here from Whitehall.
He was employed by the A&P Market of Ticonderoga as produce manager for many years. He was then employed by Moses-Ludington Hospital of Ticonderoga as a security guard.
Mr. Rovelli was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticonderoga and a member of the St. Isaac Jogues Council 333, 4th Degree, Knights of Columbus of Ticonderoga.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred Anna (Priest) Rovelli, on Sept. 6, 1999; and also by his daughter, Rosemary Jane Daniels, on March 7, 2006.
Survivors include three daughters, Paula Buckman and her husband Michael of Ticonderoga, Diane Henry and Dale of Ticonderoga and Angela Rovelli and her companion Tyrone Rabideau Jr. of Mooers, N.Y.; one son, Alfred D. Rovelli Jr. of Searsport, Maine; and one brother, Michael Rovelli Sr. and his wife Antoinette of Whitehall. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticonderoga. The Rev. William G. Muench, pastor, will officiate.
The Rite of Committal will take place at the family plot of Our Lady of Angels Cemetery of Whitehall at a later date.
