KEESEVILLE — Alzier A. Budich, 84, formerly of Keeseville Country Gardens, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh.
She was born in the Bronx, N.Y., Nov. 10, 1921, the daughter of Charles V. and Alzier E. (Thiebauth) Persina. She married Richard W. Budich on April 11, 1943, in the Bronx.
Prior to moving to Keeseville in 1995, she was employed for many years with W.A. Baum Co., Inc. in Long Island, Linden's of Westchester, and as governess for the children of Victoria Wyndham, an actress on "Another World" soap opera.
Alzier was a member of Alpha Chapter No. 1 of the Manhattan District, Order of the Eastern Star for 66 years and enjoyed visiting O.E.S. Chapters and activities following her move to Keeseville. She was also a member of the North Country Women's Club prior to her residency at Meadowbrook Healthcare.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard W. and Charlene Budich of South Salem, N.Y.; two grandsons, Scott R. and Todd M. Budich; and her daughter, A. Kathryn Moore of Keeseville. She had a close relationship with her extended family, Michael J. Moore, Christopher K. Moore, RJ Moore II, Shannon Moore Vassar and Patricia Moore. Alzier shared Kathryn's love of Scottish terriers and she will be missed by her newest Scottie "grandson," Baxter MacTavish.
Alzier was predeceased by her parents; her husband; her brother, Charles V. Persina Jr.; and son-in-law, Robert J. Moore.
There will be no public calling hours. A memorial service will be held at the Peru Community Church at a date and time to be announced. Burial will be in the God's Acre Cemetery in Peru.
Because of the love Alzier had for all children, donations in her memory may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
