HUDSON — Angela M. Wurster, 80, of Joslen Place in Hudson died Sunday, July 2, 2006, at Livingston Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born Aug. 15, 1925, in Hudson, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Helen (Vasilou) Markessinis.
Mrs. Wurster was employed as a sales associate at the Town Fair in Hudson for more than 22 years.
She was a member of Rogers Hose Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and past director of the Hudson YWCA.
Angela spent most of her life in Hudson, except for several years during World War II in Greece under German occupation.
Surviving are her brother, Larry Markessinis; four sons, William P. Wurster of Latham, James A. Wurster of Mount Mannganui, New Zealand; George F. Wurster of Plattsburgh and Peter M. Wurster of Hudson; a daughter, Helene S. Rebman of Troutdale, Oregon; six grandchildren, Dr. Patricia A. Wurster, Lowell G. Wurster, Catherine B. Wurster, Reed J. Wurster, Kade M. Wurster and Noah E. Wurster; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold C. Wurster, and her brother, Basil Markessinis.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bates & Anderson-Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Cedar Park Cemetery in Hudson.
