RIVERVIEW — Alfreda M. Ashline, 94, formerly of Riverview, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
She was born in Riverview, on June 5, 1912, the daughter of Edward and Eveline (Brien) Soucy.
She was a member of the Church of the Assumption in Redford and the Saranac Senior Citizens.
She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Victor E. and Brenda Ashline of Grand Island, Fla., Lawrence J. and Barbara Ashline of Melbourne, Fla., Robert G. and Linda Ashline of Morrisonville, Leeward G. and Ruth Ashline of Beekmantown; four sisters, Evelyn Lemieux of Peru, Rena Latour of Plattsburgh, Margaret Latour of Plattsburgh, Rita Raab of Merritt Island, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Harold Dupra of Plattsburgh; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Victor A. Ashline died on April 24, 1976. Three sisters, Lena Farrell, Bernadette Soucy and Ann Dupra; two sisters-in-law, Marguerite Ashline and Margaret Sharron; and a daughter-in-law, Carol Ashline also died earlier.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the O'Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday from the Church of the Assumption in Redford. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's cemetery in Dannemora.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Saranac Fire and Rescue Squad or the American Cancer Society.
