PERU — William P. Corrigan III, 50, of Moore Drive, Peru, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at his home surrounded by his loving wife and daughter and under the care of Hospice of the North Country.
He was born in Plattsburgh, Tuesday, Nov. 15, 1955, the son of the late William P. Corrigan Jr. and Arlene (Dillan) Corrigan.
Bill was a graduate of Peru Central School. Following graduation he entered the United States Army. He was an SP4 and honorably discharged Sept. 8, 1978.
He continued his father's business, Corrigan Construction, for several years, and was most recently employed with Dolviat Inc. in Cumberland Head.
Bill will be remembered as a quiet, private man, who enjoyed working and caring for his family. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing and showed his love for his family by cooking wonderful, delicious meals.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Kathleen (Durgan) Corrigan, whom he married Saturday, Aug. 9, 1980, at St. Augustine's Church in Peru; one son, Daniel Patrick Corrigan and fiancee Kati Varga of Troy; one daughter, Kasey Elizabeth Corrigan of Peru; his siblings and their spouses, Susan Corrigan-Ley and Phillip Ley of Chesterfield, Mo., Peggy and John Fedorjaka of Apex, N.C., David A. Corrigan of Warren, Vt., and James and Cindy Corrigan of Raleigh, N.C.; and 17 nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church in Peru with the Rev. William G. Reamer, CVPH chaplain, celebrating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
