MORRISONVILLE — Andrew Joseph Rabideau, 86, of Route 22B, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, at Moses-Ludington Nursing Home in Ticonderoga. He was born in Cadyville on March 21, 1920, son of Maxim and Rose (Bleu) Rabideau.
Andrew was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II, where he fought in the Battle of Normandy. Upon returning, he met and later married Gladys Stacy. He had been employed by Pal Blade in Plattsburgh. During Andy's retired years, he enjoyed riding the CART bus, where he had made many friends. He enjoyed daily walks, woodworking and refinishing furniture.
Andrew was predeceased by his parents, Maxim and Rose Rabideau; his wife, Gladys Rabideau; his brothers, Leo and Bernard Rabideau; his sisters, Lillian Coryer and Catherine Drollette.
Andrew is survived by a son, David A. Rabideau and his wife Adele of Morrisonville; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for family will be held Saturday, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh, with the Rev. Monsignor Joseph Aubin, retired, officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
