PLATTSBURGH — Albert J. Dukett, 70, of the Wallace Hill Road, passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, in the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Saranac Lake on Feb. 18, 1936, son of the late Albert E. and Alice (White) Dukett.
Albert enjoyed being a chef. He retired from the Dry Dock in October due to his illness. Albert served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1965 and was a member of the American Legion Post 20.
He is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy Gosselin, whom he married Feb. 28, 1998; five children, Suzette Wilson of Florida, Paul Dukett and his wife Jane of New Jersey, Audrey Flagg and her husband Richard of Tupper Lake, Michelle Cantley and her husband Dan of Nevada, Andrea Costello and her husband Fred of Arizona; his siblings, Alice Baker and her husband Charlie of Tupper Lake, Ed Dukett and his companion Robin of Saranac Lake, Mary Besaw of Beekmantown, John Dukett and his wife Cherie of Clintonville; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; and close friends, Bob Besaw and his companion Winnie Gosselin.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court St., Plattsburgh.
A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
