GREEN VALLEY, Ariz. — William (Bill) Reed Morhous, born July 28, 1918, in AuSable Forks, N.Y., passed to the next life Jan. 26, 2007, in Green Valley, Ariz.
Bill became a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps in October of 1941, and served as a fighter pilot in World War II. He finished his career in the U.S. Air Force in 1964 as a lieutenant colonel, at which point he moved to Plattsburgh, N.Y., to work in the insurance business. He was proud to serve as the president of his Kiwanis club while in Plattsburgh. In 1978 he retired completely and moved to Green Valley, Ariz., where he very much enjoyed golf and was proud to serve as president of the Santa Cruz Valley Seniors golf organization. More than that, he thoroughly enjoyed all the new friends he made in Green Valley.
Bill was preceded to the next life by his brother Francis; and his twin sisters, Marjorie (Morhous) Quirk and Margaret (Morhous) Ryan.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret (Eiff) Morhous; his daughter, Shannon (Morhous) Rabideau; and his son, William (Bill) Morhous; and four grandchildren.
Bill will be interred with full military honors at a service to be held in Arlington National Cemetery on March 30, 2007.
