FRANKLIN, N.C. — Albert Kenneth "Ken" Kneeland Jr., 76, of Franklin, N.C., passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007.
A native of Whallonsburg, N.Y., he was the son of the late Albert Kneeland Sr. and Irene LaMere Kneeland.
Ken was a U.S. Army veteran, member of Louisa Chapel United Methodist Church and a member of the American Legion Post 108.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Karen Dickerson Kneeland; three children, Kevin Lynn Kneeland of Douglas, Ga., Debra K. Green and Donna May Kneeland, both of Franklin; two brothers, Donald Kneeland of Albany, N.Y., and Robert Kneeland of Newark, N.J.; five grandchildren, Jennifer Bowen, Lauren Bowen, Chelsea Kneeland, Tyler Kneeland Stoudemire and Morgan Green; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, at Louisa Chapel United Methodist Church, Franklin, N.C., Rev. David Crunkleton will officiate.
